WAYSHOWING>WAYFINDING DESIGN
with Per Mollerup

2-Day Workshop

May 2018

9.00am to 5.30pm

$800 nett early bird price; till 30 April 2018

Wayshowing means helping users and other visitors to find their way (primarily) in built environments. Wayshowing assists wayfinding. Good wayshowing is user-centered: It is based on a deep understanding of wayfinding: how we intuitively orientate and navigate in unknown territory. As point of departure, this workshop discusses the strategies we all use when trying to find our way. Then it introduces the principle of least effort and shows the eight steps process of working with a wayshowing project. The workshop deals thoroughly with the means available for wayshowing including environment, pre-visit information, signage, maps, kiosks, and help desks.
