myMOM Portal is the Ministry of Manpower's single login for employers, and from 25 January 2027 it is also where you renew a Work Permit, one of the main tasks still done on WP Online. MOM updated its January 2027 renewal page on 27 October 2026: clinics will send renewal medical results to MOM from 18 January 2027, and from 25 January you view those results and renew online without uploading a report.

This guide, for business employers, maps which portal handles which task, fixes the usual login problems and plans renewals around the switchover. Migrant domestic workers use a separate MOM eService.

At a glance

  • 27 October 2026: MOM updated its Work Permit eService enhancements page, which says Work Permit transactions keep moving from WP Online to myMOM Portal through 2027.
  • Mid-November 2026: MOM says details of the January changes will be available then.
  • 29 November 2026: Temporary Permit applications, the new Foreigner Profile (view a worker's record and update employment details such as salary) and in-principle approval (IPA) extensions move to myMOM Portal, according to MOM's November 2026 page (updated 14 October 2026).
  • 18 January 2027: medical service providers submit renewal and six-monthly medical examination (6ME) results through MOM's ME Portal, within 1 week of the examination, and MOM emails the employer.
  • 25 January 2027: employers can view renewal results and renew Work Permits on myMOM Portal; organisation contact details and quota also move there.
  • By end-2027: MOM's enhancements roadmap (updated 3 May 2026) expects all Work Permit transactions in one place.

What can you do on myMOM Portal today?

MOM's myMOM Portal page (updated 18 August 2026) describes it as one login for eServices, workforce information and workplace safety information. For work passes, the split on 29 October 2026 is:

  • Employment Pass, S Pass and family passes: almost every transaction, through EP eService inside myMOM Portal. MOM's EP eService page (updated 1 June 2026) lists apply, renew, appeal, issue, cancel, withdraw, replace a card, extend an IPA and view quota. MOM lists a few former EP Online tasks the new eService does not offer, such as updating a pass holder's salary, which now goes by request.
  • Work Permits on myMOM Portal: apply and appeal (since 2025), get the permit issued (since 4 May 2026, per MOM's Issue function page), cancel, request a Special Pass and give consent for a worker to transfer to a new employer (since 20 July 2026, per its Cancel function page).
  • Work Permits still on WP Online: renew, reinstate and replace a card, plus the user accounts. MOM's WP Online page (updated 24 August 2026) says so, and that WP Online does not support mobile browsers. Until 29 November 2026, updating a worker's employment details, IPA extensions and Temporary Permits for Malaysian workers also stay on WP Online, and MOM's November page says updating particulars and occupation stays there until those functions reach myMOM Portal in 2027.
  • Also on myMOM Portal: the levy bills (view, pay, download past bills, apply for waivers and refunds) and MOM's Workforce Insights Tool, whose diversity and local PMET charts help you calculate your total COMPASS score.

MOM's Work Permit eService page (updated 19 July 2026) says transactions will keep being added in phases, so check myMOM Portal's Quick Menu before falling back to WP Online.

Why can't I log in to myMOM Portal?

Logging in needs three links in place, and a missing one is the usual reason for an error. MOM's pages and its Corppass assignment guide set out the chain:

  1. Corppass. Your company's Corppass administrator must first add myMOM Portal to the entity's e-Services, then assign it to you. Check under "Assigned e-Services" after you log in to Corppass; the "Entity Details" tab shows who your administrator is.
  2. A work pass account. Your company needs a WP Online account for Work Permits, or an EP eService account for Employment and S Passes, registered through Work Pass Account Registration (WPAR). A Work Permit account needs Corppass and the company's CPF Submission Number; registration is processed within 1 week, and a newly registered company's UEN reaches MOM's records within 2 weeks, so register after that.
  3. A role on that account. The work pass administrator adds you as a user, and Corppass must also assign WP Online or EP eService to you. If you see "Sorry, you do not have access to this page" under Announcements, MOM says it means no EP eService access; for a Work Permit, ignore it and go to Work Passes, then Quick Menu.

Two rules catch small firms out. Accounts with no activity for 12 months are terminated (MOM encourages users to log in at least every 3 months to check for irregular transactions), and each account allows up to 2 administrators and 4 users, with administrator changes taking 1 week, which MOM will not shorten.

How does Work Permit renewal change in January 2027?

MOM's Renew a Work Permit page (updated 30 April 2026) sets the rules that apply today: renew 7 to 12 weeks before expiry, pay $35 a renewal, have a new security bond (non-Malaysian workers), extended medical insurance and a passport valid long enough (at least 25 months for a 2-year permit). The renewal notice and application form show whether the worker needs a full medical examination, and the outcome is immediate.

What changes is the paperwork, on the same pattern as the Issue function in May:

  • Before 18 January 2027: the clinic completes a hard-copy renewal medical examination, you collect it and upload it when you renew on WP Online, after registering the worker's address and mobile number on OFWAS at least an hour beforehand. 6ME results go to MOM through FormSG.
  • From 18 January 2027: the clinic submits both through the ME Portal within 1 week of the examination, and MOM emails you.
  • From 25 January 2027: you view the results and renew on myMOM Portal. MOM says the new function also simplifies updating the worker's address and mobile number. If the results show an abnormality, ask the clinic for the full report.

Worked example: three renewals across the switchover (illustrative)

A fictional landscaping contractor in Sungei Kadut, run by Mr Rahman with Mei Ling handling admin, has three Work Permit holders whose permits expire in early 2027. Using MOM's 7-to-12-week window (our arithmetic, counted back from the expiry date):

  • Expires 28 February 2027: window about 6 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. Renewed entirely on WP Online, with a hard-copy medical report if the notice asks for one.
  • Expires 31 March 2027: window about 6 January to 10 February 2027. This is the awkward one. If Mei Ling renews before 18 January, it is the old WP Online route; from 25 January it is myMOM Portal with clinic-submitted results. MOM has not yet said how a renewal between 18 and 24 January works, or how an examination done in the old format before 18 January is handled at a renewal from 25 January, so one cautious plan is to book the clinic for after 18 January and renew from 25 January, still well inside the window.
  • Expires 30 April 2027: window about 5 February to 12 March 2027. Wholly on myMOM Portal, if the January launch goes ahead as scheduled.

Renewing late does not help: MOM says the employer is still liable for the levy after the permit expires, and levy penalties or an overstaying fine may be imposed, so the firm diarises all three windows now.

A checklist before 25 January 2027

  1. Check access now. Confirm in Corppass that each person who files has myMOM Portal, WP Online and, for Employment and S Passes, EP eService assigned.
  2. Appoint a second administrator on each work pass account, as MOM recommends, and record who holds which role in your one-page continuity plan.
  3. Log in at least every 3 months so no account lapses at the 12-month mark.
  4. List every permit expiring from January to May 2027 and its 7-to-12-week window.
  5. Tell your clinic about the ME Portal change from 18 January, and ask how it will send results.
  6. Recheck MOM's January page in mid-November, when it says details will be published.
  7. Using an outsourced HR provider? Its staff need your company's authorisation form first, and its main business must fall under an industry code MOM lists, such as book-keeping or HR consultancy.

Common questions

Is WP Online being replaced by myMOM Portal?

In stages. Apply, issue and cancel have moved; Temporary Permits, the Foreigner Profile and IPA extensions follow on 29 November 2026, renewals on 25 January 2027, and MOM expects everything on myMOM Portal by end-2027.

How do I get access to myMOM Portal?

Your Corppass administrator adds myMOM Portal to the company's e-Services and assigns it to you, and your company's WP Online or EP eService administrator adds you as a user.

When should I renew a Work Permit?

7 to 12 weeks before it expires. From 25 January 2027 you renew on myMOM Portal, with the clinic sending medical results to MOM.
