About your enquiry data

How this website uses information submitted through its contact form.

The contact form collects your name, email, message and any company or phone information you choose to provide. It also records the page URL, referring page, campaign parameters and submission time.

This information is stored in the Olano Sites database and is available to authorised administrators for responding to and managing your enquiry. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Please avoid sending passwords, financial account details or other sensitive information in your message.

If you want to ask about or request removal of an earlier enquiry, use the contact form and identify the email address used for that enquiry.

Reading statistics

To learn which guides help readers, this website counts page views and a few reading signals: how long a page is in view, how far it is scrolled, whether an article is read to the end, which links and buttons are used, searches in our listings and how quickly pages load. With each measurement we record the page address, the name of the website that referred you, campaign tags in the link, a broad device type, the browser name and the country.

We do not use cookies or similar browser storage for this, and we do not store IP addresses or build profiles. A code that changes every day, derived from technical request details with a secret key, lets us estimate the number of visitors without recognising anyone from one day to the next. Listing searches that look like email addresses or phone numbers are discarded. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal are not counted.

These statistics stay in our own database, are visible only to our editors and are deleted after 13 months. We use them to improve and correct our guides, not for advertising.
